Letter of Appreciation to the Port Workers’ Unions in Europe

To our sisters and brothers

in the port workers’ unions of France, Italy, and Greece

(USB – CGT – ENEDEP),

Revolutionary greetings and deep appreciation,

We write to you on behalf of the (UWFPP), representing 33 unions, labor organizations, and political parties from 14 countries across the Middle East and North Africa, to express our profound gratitude and admiration for your courageous and principled stance in refusing to be complicit in the crimes of the Israeli occupation against our defenseless people in Gaza.

Your decision to reject the loading of ships carrying weapons and ammunition destined for Israel, and your bold initiative in organizing protests and sit-ins to prevent these ships from docking, represent the highest form of international solidarity. You embody the true spirit of the working class—one that does not compromise on principles and refuses to take part in injustice and aggression in any form.

Through your actions—not words alone—you have shown the world that dock workers do not stain their hands with the blood of innocents, and that human dignity stands above any commercial or political interest. Your stance is not only a defense of the Palestinian people, but a defense of humanity, justice, and freedom.

We firmly believe that history will remember your names, your flags, and your stands. It will testify that the free peoples of the world did not remain silent, did not surrender, and did not participate in the crime. The working class remains the bearer of the banner of freedom, peace, and human dignity—and through its liberation, the whole of humanity finds its path to emancipation.

And we believe, as you do, that the unity of the working class and its solidarity with the Palestinian people is the force capable of breaking the U.S. veto and dismantling the brutal policies that deny justice and human dignity.

You have our utmost respect and appreciation.

We renew our commitment to remain united in our struggle—for Palestine, for justice, and for a more humane world.

Long live international solidarity

Freedom for Palestine
