Resolutions adopted in Breakout Session 1

"Stop the Genocide in Gaza! Advance the Liberation of Palestine through International Solidarity, Demand an Immediate Ceasefire in Ukraine, and Prevent War from East Asia!"

Adopted at ZENKO 2025 – Sagamihara

Recognizing the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people in Gaza and throughout historic Palestine,
Affirming our commitment to international solidarity against imperialism, colonialism, and militarism in all regions of the world,
Recalling the necessity of urgent action to end wars and military escalations in both the Middle East and East Asia, and
Insisting on the immediate necessity of a just and lasting peace in Ukraine through diplomatic means,

We call on the Government of Japan to:

Officially recognize the State of Palestine.
Immediately ratify the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
Demand that the Government of Israel comply with the UN General Assembly Resolutions (September 2024 and June 2025), which Japan supported.

Take concrete action to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza by:
Providing direct humanitarian aid,
Calling for the resumption of operations by UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) and WFP (World Food Programme).
Demand the shutdown of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which falsely operates under humanitarian pretenses while comitting atrocities.
Instruct the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) to immediately divest from Israeli government bonds and Israeli-affiliated corporations.

We further urge the Japanese government and civil society to intensify pressure on Japanese corporations complicit in Israel's military aggression:

Demand the immediate withdrawal of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), IHI, and Mitsubishi Electric (MELCO) from the global F-35I “Adir” fighter jet supply chain, which contributes to the Israeli Air Force's bombing of Gaza.
Expand joint international actions, particularly from East Asia, opposing the global F-35 supply chain.
Demand the cancellation of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ involvement in the next-generation fighter jet development project with BAE Systems (UK) and Leonardo (Italy).
Promote a boycott of products made by companies cooperating with the Israeli military and occupation, in solidarity with the global BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions).

We commit ourselves to supporting grassroots movements and international actions to expand Palestinian self-determination and oppose war globally:

Realize the invitation of Comrade Mohammad Alloush from Palestine to Japan.
Establish a BDS International Joint Action Week, coordinating simultaneous actions in Japan, the US, and the Middle East targeting companies complicit in Israel’s apartheid regime.
Support and fund the construction of a Gaza community health clinic by the Unified Workers’ Front for the Protection of the Palestinian People (UWFPP).
Expand the ZHAP (ZENKO Henoko Anti-Base Project) campaign to South Korea, Taiwan, and the United States, linking anti-war efforts in East Asia with global demilitarization.
Convene an international online panel to strengthen coordination for peace in East Asia through global solidarity.
Support the legal struggle of Geronimo Gerez, who was dismissed for refusing to accommodate Israeli military personnel in Japan.
Demand that the Government of Japan take concrete steps toward an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine and reject all forms of military support, including the provision of weapons and the dispatch of Self-Defense Forces personnel.
Build broader grassroots solidarity across Japan through photo exhibitions, film screenings, study sessions, and street demonstrations.

We resolve to unite with all those across the globe demanding:

Stop the Gaza Genocide! Ceasefire Now in Ukraine! Disarm through Dialogue! Solidarity from East Asia!
