On behalf of the United Workers’ Front for the Defense of the Palestinian People (UWFPP) in the Middle East and North Africa, which brings together 33 unions, labor organizations from 14 countries, and on behalf of all those who believe in the justice of the Palestinian cause, we extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude for your honorable and historic stance embodied in the decision of your congress to impose a comprehensive boycott on Israel—adopted by an overwhelming majority of your members.
Your clear support for the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom and the end of national oppression, and your firm rejection of occupation, settlement expansion, and apartheid policies, represent a significant step toward strengthening genuine international labor solidarity. We also highly commend your call to end the investment of pension funds in the occupation and settlements—an act of profound moral and humanitarian commitment.
We view your decision as a victory for the values that unite us: freedom, Equality, and cross-border class solidarity. We affirm that we, in the (UWFPP), see you as a steadfast ally and a partner in the struggle to end occupation and national oppression, to establish an independent Palestinian state, and to build a world rooted in justice and human dignity.
